Carlo Battisti - Italy
SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION CONSULTANT AND PROJECT MANAGER

He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Politecnico of Milan and twenty years of experience with construction companies. Carlo has a Masters in Management and Organizational Development from MIP, the Business School of Politecnico of Milan. He is a LEED®, Living Future and WELL Accredited Professional.
Since 2009, Carlo has worked with IDM South Tyrol (Italy) as an innovation manager in the Ecosystem Construction. From 2010 to 2011, he worked with the Energy and Environment Cluster of Trentino as manager of the business unit for sustainable products. From 2015 to 2016, he was also the co-owner of a startup focused on LEED consulting.
In 2015, he co-founded the Living Building Challenge Collaborative: Italy. Additionally, he co-created REGENERATION a 64 hour European competition and the first design contest for young EU professionals entirely based on Living Building Challenge. I’m consulting as LFA the first LBC registered project in Italy (Casa SN).
Since 2017, he’s worked with EURAC research as Chair and project manager of the COST Action 16114 RESTORE (REthinking Sustainability TOwards a Regenerative Economy). The RESTORE COST Action (2017-2021) will affect a paradigm shift towards restorative sustainability for new and existing buildings and space design across Europe, through the collaboration of 100+ researchers from 33 European countries.
